Sharing Opportunity Halloween:
Amelon friends, we are accepting candy donations for the Halloween Bash or if you would like to make a monetary donation, contact Jeff or Lisa Laub. Our Children’s Ministry is working overtime to bring the love of God and a wonderful safe Halloween to all. Halloween Bash information below.
Sharing Opportunity Bazaar:
Friends it’s time to start gathering your treasures and bring them in for the Annual Fall Bazaar. The Bazaar includes a HUGE White Elephant Sale. The UMW are collecting the gently used items (no clothes please) that you no longer need. This is a great way to share what you no longer use and make room for the new treasures that you will surely find at the sale. Everyone loves a bargain so don’t miss it! Bazaar information below.
Sharing Opportunity, Cheer Food Baskets:
There are so many ways to help with this project, thank you in advance for however you are able to contribute and we ask for continued prayer for all. We will begin collecting food items in November, targeting select items.
On November 4th and 11th we are asking for peanut butter and jelly.
On November 18 we are asking for breakfast foods, remember these need to be non perishable.
November 25th we will collect Thanksgiving items such as cranberry sauce, dressing, gravy mix, cake mix and frosting.
Finally, December 2-16 we will collect any non perishable foods. More information below.

Remember, October is “Bring a friend to church month.” Everyone remember to invite your family, friends and neighbors. If you are reading this and have been thinking of visiting, this is your nudge! We would love for you to join us on Sunday!
Youth Sponsored Bake Sale:
Sunday, October 21, 2018 – youth sponsored Bake Sale after the 10:53 worship service. Be sure and support our youth, pick up some goodies to take home or maybe to a friend!
Hey kids and kids at heart, bring your flashlight, something to hold your candy and come to have fun on October 27th from 5 pm until 8 pm. All are welcome and you’re never to old for an old fashioned Halloween Party, bring your kids, your grandkids, your neighbors kids…! We will have games, popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs, crafts and the night will end with a candy hunt. Sponsored by our Children’s Ministry.

Annual Fall Bazaar:
Be sure and add this one to your calendar. – The Annual Fall Bazaar and Brunswick Stew sponsored by UMW–November 3, 2018- 7:00a.m.- 2:00p.m. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Stew ($10-quart) may be preordered by calling the church office. Come for some of the best stew around and browse the White Elephant Sale, you never know what you may find. Always a fun event for everyone!
All Saints Day:
Sunday, November 4, 2018 – On this day we will honor the memory of members we have lost during the past year.
We will also celebrate new members joining our family, whether through baptism or transfer. If you would like to make this your special day also, contact Pastor Mark and he will be honored to lead you on this journey.

Veterans Day Recognition :
On Sunday, November 11, 2018 we will recognize our Veterans during our 10:53 worship service. We would like to invite all Veterans and their families to spend the morning with us. You don’t have to be a part of Amelon. Come out, wear your uniform or any other service attire you might still have and let us say thank you for your service and sacrifice. We will have a light reception after the service where we can personally thank the brave men and women who ensure our freedom. We must never take this for granted, as freedom is never free.

November 17, 2018 -Youth serve at Neighbors Helping Neighbors warehouse. Meet at the church at 8:15 a.m.
Annual Thanksgiving Dinner: Sunday, November 18, 2018 following the 10:53 worship service.
Holiday Fun: Saturday, December 1, 2018 – 5:30 p.m. potluck dinner, wreath making and a movie Sponsored by our Youth. Come out and support these great young people, they are our future!

Salvation Army Bell Ringers:
December 10-14 (Monday- Friday) 10 A.M.-8 P.M. Amelon will participate in The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign.

December 16, 2018 Make plans to be a part of this special worship service when our choir will bring us the musical celebration of the birth of our Savior. Christmas is a busy time for all, just don’t forget to take the time to celebrate Jesus, the reason for the Christmas season.
Christmas Cheer Baskets: Friday and Saturday, December 21 and 22 sorting and packing. This is a wonderful project to be involved in, God’s children helping God’s children, win/win. More information TBA
Christmas Eve Service:
Our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be held December 24, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. Come out on this silent night and celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus.
