Friends of Amelon,
Due to the continuing danger of the coronavirus, Bishop Lewis has elected to cancel all church services for March 15th and March 22nd. As such, we will not be meeting this Sunday (March 15th) or next Sunday (March 22nd). I will be delivering some sort of live stream or recorded message both Sundays.
I was talking to someone today…maybe all of this is God’s way of getting us to slow down, reflect, and consider Him more. So, my encouragement is to take the next two Sunday mornings and spend time with God. Also, use these mornings as an opportunity to spend time with your families and in reflection. Slow down…smell the roses, as it were. Enjoy God’s majesty in your life.
Amelon will be closed on March 29 also, stay tuned for information of online services.
Check Amelon’s FACEBOOK page for the online worship service on Sunday, March 22 at 11 a.m.
TLC will be closed from March 16th through March 27th.
VAUMC.org March 13, 2020 — Bishop Lewis directs that all preschools be closed for the next two weeks. We will re-evaluate whether it is prudent to begin in-person worship for March 29, 2020 and whether it is prudent to reopen the preschools on March 30, 2020.
Madison Heights Community Lenten Services have been Cancelled
Wednesday Bible Study has been cancelled for Wednesday, March 18 and for Wednesday, March 25
All Youth Events have been cancelled through Sunday, March 22nd.
Stay tuned for other possible cancellations in the coming days and weeks. Stay safe and remember to Pray!
Our Sanctuary is equipped with easy to use personal listening devices. Ask an usher or sound room technician if you would like to use one.
Welcome to Amelon United Methodist Church.

TEACH- SERVE- LOVE
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”-Matthew 22:37-40
